I think this is a great way to get ppl to move "out of town" and come to their community. Anyone who saw the OU Jewish Action for Passover and saw the offers being offered by Houston Texas, it would seem to be a no-brainer to move there.

Newcomers are not eligible. It's meant to get existing Pittsburgh residents to consider Jewish schools. I wonder what enrollment rates are there--I would imagine they are fairly high in Squirrel Hill and low in the South Hills (non-Orthodox, excellent PS, high taxes).

Come to the OU emerging communities fair on 3/27 and hear more! There will representatives from the Jewish community (including me, a native NYer) and we're happy to talk to anyone about living "out of town."
