Hard to Believe this Needs a PSA

Hard to believe that in the year of 2013 we even need to discuss measles.  Going into summer and the camp season, parents should be aware of the latest outbreak.  Here is a video of doctors speaking to some of the NY community representatives regarding the issue.

To be fair, it's the morons that keep us in business. If people ever starting taking care of themselves most of us physicians would be out of business.

I don't find it hard to believe. Let's face it, the more insular, right-wing Jews believe the government is out to get them. Resisting vaccines is just one way they show their resistance to government.

tesyaa - many right wing Jews also don't believe in science. Someone should start a rumor that getting vaccinated is a segula for something, solve the problem once and for all.

Some of us actually know more about vaccines than you do, believe it or not. And some of us decide that the risks outweigh the benefits for our children. (Hint: It has nothing to do with Wakefield.)

Feel free to do your own research!

It is not only RW chareidim but RW/anti-govt non-jews who dont vacinate. Just keep your kids away from theirs and hopefully you will be fine. (in more ways than one!) And make sure the school your kids attend have vaccinations as a requirement to register.

"do your own research" indeed. Just find the 5 "frummest" doctors you know and ask them. Results will be even better than the Dentyne commercial.

Why no vaccines- basically you've weakened the herd effect of vaccines.

CDC has yet to link vaccination with ill health effects in most children (unless they are already immunocompromised)

I'm just lost
